When you reach your early twenties, naturally, you start looking for things that help you stand out amongst your peers. For me, that thing was the gym.
Over the last year, I have committed myself to training consistently. It was a way to improve my fitness, and it evolved into something much bigger. The gym helped me mature mentally, physically and emotionally. The discipline is something I have stuck to ever since, showing up on days when the motivation did not kick in.
Two months ago, my friend Tobi came to me with an idea: creating a gym-focused content group on campus.
This idea appealed to me.
Our group mainly consists of students who are graduating this year, but that only made time feel more important. One of the best parts of university has been the community that builds around the gym. Walking into SportsDock and seeing familiar faces already putting in the work creates an environment that pushes you to be better.
Knowing someone is there to tell you to push for another rep, increase the weight, or simply keep going when you’re tired can make all the difference. That support system helped me reach a level I never thought was possible.
Now, as many of us enter a stage of life filled with real-world responsibilities and pressures, there has never been a better time to channel that energy into something productive.
For me, the gym has always been more than just lifting weights. It is a place to clear your mind, reset your focus, and challenge yourself. It is one of the few environments where you can completely switch off from outside distractions and concentrate solely on self-improvement.
That is exactly what we aim to capture through IronVault.
The energy within this group is something you can genuinely feed off. It is rare to find a collection of people in their early twenties who share the same level of ambition, consistency, and drive.
For years, I told myself that being independent was the key to success. To an extent, it was. However, since the beginning of 2026, I have realised that growth becomes much easier when you surround yourself with like-minded people. People who all share the saner desire to improve.
Without that environment, you risk limiting your own potential.
IronVault was built on that principle.
We aim to consistently create content that not only showcases our journey but also inspires others to take ownership of theirs. We want to show that discipline, consistency, and self-belief can take you much further than talent alone.
Much like I have done with Beyond the Pitch, I want IronVault to have its own identity. We are not interested in pretending to be something we’re not. We want to be authentic, document the process honestly, and build something people can genuinely connect with.
There is a lot more in the works than what people have seen so far.
The challenge now is simple. Stay productive, stay disciplined, take accountability, and stay consistent.
Although university has come to an end for the majority of us, the mission continues. Most of the team will be based in London, which means content won’t stop. If anything, this is just the beginning.
Stay tuned.
